Billie Jean is a song by American singer Michael Jackson, released by Epic Records on January 2, 1983, as the second single from Jackson's sixth studio album, Thriller. It was written and composed by Jackson and produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones.

2. The handwritten lyrics to ‘Billie Jean’ sold for £24,984 at auction in 2012.



3. Quincy Jones did not want ‘Billie Jean’ to appear on the ‘Thriller’ album. 



4. Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones quarelled over the title of the song. Jones was worried that people would confuse the name with tennis player Billie Jean King, he wanted to change the name to ‘Not My Lover’. But Jackson won that battle.
